Terms and conditions
The registration form and these training conditions together form the Security Academy study agreement.
This study agreement governs the legal relationship between contractor, participant and the Security Academy, unless explicitly agreed otherwise. By signing the registration form, the contracting party (the person who assumes the payment obligation) and the participant (the person who actually follows the training program) declare to have taken note of the study agreement and to accept it.
We furthermore assume that you and the contractor and participant have taken note of our privacy statement and also agree to this. All information provided by customers and / or participants is confidential for the institute, its employees and the teachers.
Participation in a study at the Security Academy can be requested by completing and sending the electronic registration form or confirming a quotation. The study agreement takes effect as soon as the Security Academy has sent a confirmation of receipt. For participants (consumers) a reflection period of 14 days applies after registration on the website. This reflection period also applies if the participant books the course and the company or employer pays for it. If the company concludes the contract, no reflection time applies.
If there are too many registrations, the Security Academy uses the date of receipt of the registration form as a selection criterion. If we cannot place you on the preferred date, we will make a different proposal in consultation with you. About three weeks before the start of the training you will receive an invitation from the Security Academy, with further information, starting times and directions to the training location.
The Security Academy reserves the right to cancel a course. If this happens due to a lack of registrations, then your participation will be postponed to the next edition of the relevant course. When a course expires you will be informed as soon as possible.
If you are unable to participate in the new class dates, your obligations towards the Security Academy will expire and no further costs will of course be charged.
Terms of payment
The costs for the training must be paid within 30 days after the invoice date or before the due date of an agreed payment arrangement.
The financial obligation of the contracting party towards the Security Academy does not expire due to the participant not attending one or more lessons.
If the training costs have not been paid before the due date, there will be default and all costs, including costs arising from the default and recovery of these costs, as well as the legal interest owed from the due date will be for the account of the contracting party.
If payment is not made continuously, the Security Academy will use a collection agency.
The payment must always be made in advance in one go. However, payment in installments is possible, provided that an appointment has been made prior to participation with the Security Academy.
It is not possible to cancel a training course organized at the request of the contractor for a group of participants that has been established by or on behalf of the contractor.
Cancellation can only take place in writing. The Security Academy uses the date of receipt of your letter as the cancellation date.
If the cancellation takes place no later than 30 days before the planned start date of the training, you owe 25% of the training costs.
For a cancellation between 30 and 14 days before the start date, that percentage is 50%. A cancellation within 14 days before the start date is not possible, you pay the full training costs.
If prior to the start of the training it is agreed in consultation with the Security Academy that the participant’s place is taken by another participant nominated by the contractor, no cancellation costs will be payable, provided that this participant meets any admission requirements.
At the interim termination of participation in the training, the entire training costs remain due.
The mutual rights and obligations arising from this agreement end as soon as the agreement has been terminated.
Use of the course material
Teaching material is provided to persons who participate or have participated in a course, course, seminar or similar provided by or with the permission of the Security Academy.
The (teaching) material provided may not be edited, translated, stored, reproduced, published, made available and / or transferred in any form or by any means, either electronically, by means of printing, (photo) copying, recording, digitization or in whatever way, without prior
